XNALara on FNA?

Post by xranger60 on Sun Jun 26, 2016 7:01 pm

Just a question for thought, but FNA is a reimplementation of the XNA library but modernized and natively 64 bit. Would XPS ever be a candidate for FNA?

Short answer:
Never ever!
XNA 3 is different than XNA 4 and has "breaking changes".
Adding features is relatively painless from a compatibility perspective, but taking things away hurts deep.
Here is a quick summary of the more significant breaking changes: --> [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ... it is a pity. "If you break it, break it good."

Long answer:
Please read more about FNA -->  [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] .. and like, as I have so often mentioned, the XNA 4.0 framework contains much fewer features than XNA 3.x ... and XNALara required this features.

BTW:
If you means you can replace the XNA 3.0 framework with the FNA framework (Or MonoGame, or ANX,  or XNA 4.0, or ...) , then try it Wink
